What you’ll learn

The Implementing Automation for Cisco Security Solutions (SAUI) training is designed to empower participants with the skills to design advanced automated security solutions for their networks. Through a combination of theoretical lessons and hands-on labs, participants will gain proficiency in utilizing modern programming concepts, RESTful Application Program Interfaces (APIs), data models, and protocols. The course covers various security aspects, including firewalls, web security, Domain Name System (DNS), cloud security, email security, and the use of Cisco® Identity Services Engine (ISE) to enhance cybersecurity for web services, networks, and devices.

The training focuses on working with key platforms such as Cisco Firepower® Management Center, Cisco Firepower Threat Defense, Cisco ISE, Cisco pxGrid, Cisco Stealthwatch® Enterprise, Cisco Stealthwatch Cloud, Cisco Umbrella®, Cisco Advanced Malware Protection (AMP), Cisco Threat grid, and Cisco Security Management Appliances. Participants will learn how to strategically use APIs for each Cisco security solution to enhance network efficiency and reduce complexity.

It’s important to note that completion of the “Introducing Automation for Cisco Solutions (CSAU)” training is a prerequisite for enrolling in the “Implementing Automation for Cisco Security Solutions (SAUI)” course, as it provides foundational knowledge essential for success. Successful completion of the training also earns participants 24 Continuing Education (CE) credits, contributing towards the recertification process. Additionally, the training prepares participants for the 300-735 Automating and Programming Cisco Security Solutions (SAUTO) certification exam.

What to expect in the exam

The 300-735 SAUTO exam certifies your knowledge and skills for implementing Security automated solutions including programming concepts, RESTful APIs, data models, protocols, firewalls, web, DNS, cloud, email security, and ISE.

After you pass 300-735 SAUTO exam, you earn the Cisco Certified DevNet Specialist – Security Automation and Programmability certification, and you satisfy the concentration exam requirement for these professional-level certifications:
