Course Overview

The CompTIA A+ Core Series mandates candidates to successfully complete two exams: Core 1 (220-1101) and Core 2 (220-1102). These assessments encompass new content that underscores the technologies and skills essential for IT professionals supporting a hybrid workforce. The highlighted areas include:

  • Increased dependence on SaaS applications for remote work.
  • Remote diagnosis and resolution of common software, hardware, or connectivity issues.
  • Evolution of core technologies, ranging from cloud virtualization and IoT device security to data management and scripting.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple operating systems, understanding when to deploy them, and ensuring their proper functionality.
  • Adaptation to the evolving nature of the job, including the ability to assess whether it's more suitable to address an issue on-site or delegate it to a specialized provider.

What Skills Will You Learn?

Hardware: Recognize: utilize, and interconnect hardware components and devices, encompassing extensive knowledge of diverse devices essential for supporting the remote workforce.

Operating Systems: Install and provide support for Windows OS, incorporating command line expertise and client support. Additionally, undertake system configuration, imaging, and troubleshooting for Mac OS, Chrome OS, Android, and Linux OS.

Networking: Articulate various network types and connections, delving into TCP/IP, WIFI, and SOHO to establish a comprehensive understanding.

Troubleshooting: Efficiently troubleshoot real-world device and network issues, offering prompt solutions.

Security: Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in devices and their network connections to ensure robust security measures.

Mobile Devices: Install and configure laptops and other mobile devices, providing support for applications to ensure seamless connectivity for end users.

Virtualization and Cloud Computing: Differentiate and compare cloud computing concepts, and establish client-side virtualization setups.
